Eleanor Williams

Eleanor Williams is an M.F.A. Scenic Design graduate from the University of California, San Diego. Prior to her graduate studies, Eleanor studied at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania where she received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. in Theater. In 2025, Eleanor was nominated for a San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Scenic Design.

Eleanor is writing this herself in third person, and she will continue to do so, as that is how she occasionally speaks anyway. Eleanor is particularly drawn to stories that highlight girlhood and the feminine experience. She enjoys creating visually distinctive worlds, and her designs tend to reflect and pay homage to a theater's existing architecture.

Eleanor has experience working in academic and professional settings. She has worked on new plays, plays in repertory, and musicals. Eleanor's drafting has been described as "immaculate," (though she doesn't really believe it). Eleanor is also proficient at model construction, 3D Printing, using Photoshop, and baking cookies. Eleanor is, and always will be, a competent personality hire.
